Two English Clubs Interested in French Young Players, Guendouzi
Two Premier League teams, Manchester City and Tottenham are both interested in FC Lorient’s young defensive midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.
The 18-year-old is reportedly being shot seriously by both English clubs.
Last week Spurs are looking for a substitute for Mousa Dembele in the future, which will enter the final 18 months of his contract. Where now both Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino are very interested in Guendouzi.
Tottenham’s own nanny has urged his club to take serious action and do more transfer business in January to beat their competitors.
Pochettino said last week: “Maybe we need to bring in players in January, because the competition in the domestic league is still tight.”
Guendouzi is a French international U-20 player who is in Lorient’s team, he made eight appearances last season and has proven he can get into the first team this year.
He graduated from the Paris Saint-Germain academy and moved to Lorient in 2014.
